Renee Aldrich

When we say Renee Aldrich is a one-woman State Fair, we mean it!  She's always surrounded by laughter, every craft known to man, and lots of butter!  Renee is an expert of all things domestic.  She is a master of food preservation, emergency preparedness, gardening, cooking, sewing, crafting, and even house renovation.

Husband (and grandpa!) Jay
Originally from Mississippi, Renee spent much of her adult life in Iowa.  Currently, Renee lives in Topeka, KS with her husband Jay.  She's constantly going places and trying new things.  Every year, Renee visits the Iowa State Fair, the Mecca of all crafters.  Last year while visiting the fair, Renee learned how to make scrap rugs with strips of old fabric and needles made from old toothbrushes.  This year, at the Downtown Topeka Farmers Market, you can pick up one of Renee's colorful, sturdy rugs.

In addition to crafting, Renee is also very active in community service through the Red Cross and her Church.  She literally feeds the hungry, befriends the lonely and teaches anyone who will listen with loving wit and straightforward sincerity.  Adventurous crafter, great friend.
